Samantha Shannon is a New York Times and Sunday Times bestselling author. She was born in 1991 in West London and began writing profusely from the age of twelve. She studied English Literature at St Anne’s College, Oxford, between 2010 and 2013, specializing in the poetry of Emily Dickinson and the Principles of Film Criticism.

In 2013, at the age of 21, she published “The Bone Season”, the first bestseller in a series of seven fantasy novels. The first sequel, “The Mime Order” was published in 2015, the year in which the author was present at Comic Con Portugal. “The Song Rising” in 2017, and the fourth chapter “The Mask Falling”, in 2021, are the remaining published volumes of the saga.
