Born in 1977, in Lisbon, very early in kindergarten was introduced to pencils, pens and brushes. He never let go of them again. Shortly after, he glanced at a Spider-Man comic with Morbius the Vampire, in the “little format” from Editora Abril, and quickly decided that he wanted to be Spider-Man. Eventually, in a lapse of pragmatism, he opted for illustration or rather, drawing Spider-Man.

He studied Graphic Arts and Communication at Escola de Artes António Arroio until 1996 and invested in music as an amateur bassist.

He worked as a professional illustrator for various media from Advertising, 2D Animation to Editorial Illustration and gradually redirected his attention to Comics. First he designed his own shorts, then accepted invitations for collaborations and finally entered the North American Comics market, at publishers such as Marvel Comics (“Rocket Raccoon”, “Haunted Mansion”, “Loki Agent of Asgard”, “Agent Venom”), BOOM! Studios (“RoboCop”, “John Flood”, “Sleepy Hollow”, “Polarity”) and Image Comics (“Zero”, “Forgetless”, “Outlaw Territory”).

Currently he edited “The Great Gatsby” in Portugal and “Time Before Time” in the USA.
