Álvaro Curia is a teacher, journalist, digital content producer and author… Unable to choose just one occupation, he chooses to combine them, identifying himself as an attentive reader of what surrounds him. He received a PhD in History with a scholarship from FCT, teaches Portuguese language and culture at two Universities and is the co-founder of “Literacidades” on Instagram. He produces content for “Livraria Wook” blog and organizes joint readings at Fundação Fernando Pessoa. He wrote his first detective story at 12, a thousand-page family saga at 15 and a novel dedicated to a great love at 19. Fortunately, he says, none of this saw the light of day. But all the hours he spent writing were essential for “Filhos da Chuva”, his first novel, to be published in 2024 under the auspices of Manuscrito publisher.
